About Me

Life Through the Lens – Anthony Ritchie

I am an Australian photographer based in Griffith, specialising in social documentary and landscape photography. Working from the heart of the Riverina while travelling widely for projects, my photography is driven by a strong connection to people, place, and the stories that shape our communities and environments.

My approach is thoughtful and observational, and I strive to create honest, human-centred images that reflect everyday life across regional and rural Australia. Through my documentary work, I explore themes of identity, resilience, working life, and the changing character of country towns, capturing moments that are often overlooked yet deeply meaningful.

Alongside my documentary practice, I have a strong passion for landscape photography. From expansive outback horizons and dramatic skies to quiet rivers, farmland, and native bushland, my landscapes celebrate the beauty, atmosphere, and spirit of the Australian environment. Much of my work reflects the relationship between people and the land, particularly within regional communities.

Working primarily in digital photography, I combine visual storytelling with a natural and authentic style that values mood, light, and connection over spectacle. Whether I am photographing people, communities, or landscapes, I aim to create images that feel genuine, timeless, and emotionally engaging.

I also produce fine art photographic prints through my online print shop, offering collectors and supporters access to a curated selection of my documentary and landscape work. My photography is grounded in curiosity, respect, and a deep appreciation for the stories found in everyday Australian life.
